This Weekend in the Blackstone Valley: Oct. 16–18, 2026
Fall is in full swing around the Blackstone Valley this weekend. Here are four things I'd actually go to, from a farm fair to a Sunday afternoon concert. Times and prices are from each organizer's site, so double-check before you head out.
Waters Farm Days, Sutton (Sat. & Sun.)
A classic New England farm fair at historic Waters Farm, 25 Waters Road in Sutton, on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. Antique tractor pulls start at 10 a.m., the Providence Brigade Band plays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day, and there's a farm animal showcase, blacksmith and shingle-mill demos, farmhouse tours, kids' activities, and a car show on Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for military and seniors, and free for kids 5 and under. Details from Waters Farm.
West End Creamery Fall Festival, Whitinsville (Fri.–Sun.)
Two corn mazes, including a 5-acre America 250 maze, plus wagon rides, the cow train, pedal carts and a pumpkin patch at 481 Purgatory Road in Whitinsville. Friday is flashlight maze night (4–9 p.m.), Saturday is 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday is noon–6 p.m. General admission is $21.95; kids under 36″ are free. Details from West End Creamery.
The Great Jack O'Lantern Journey, Mendon (evenings)
Southwick's Zoo at 2 Southwick Street in Mendon turns into a lit-up pumpkin trail after dark, running through November 1. Tickets are $23 for adults and $13 for kids 3–12 online ($25/$15 at the gate), parking included. Check the zoo's nightly calendar before you go. Details from Southwick's Zoo.
Jay Ungar & Molly Mason Family Band, Cumberland RI (Sunday)
If you'd rather sit and listen, the Blackstone River Theatre at 549 Broad Street in Cumberland has the Jay Ungar & Molly Mason Family Band with Mike + Ruthie on Sunday, October 18 at 3 p.m. Tickets from Blackstone River Theatre.
